What is OnGea?

OnGea is a free open source digital toolkit developed to support logistical aspects of youth activities; especially (but not exclusively) of Erasmus+ Key Action 1 funded youth exchanges. It contains a core system and database; a public website channel; a administrative app for host and sending organisations; and a mobile app for participants. OnGea was developed with Erasmus+ and KJFP NRW funding.

The OnGea Activity Admin App

The OnGea Activity Admin App facilitates the organisation of youth events; specifically of events where one or more organisations send participants to a host organisation, such as international youth exchanges.

The OnGea Website Channel

The OnGea System allows you to easily create a multilingual website, presenting for example an international network or project. You can use it to publicly show your projects and activities, and the organisations involved. Additionally, you can create news pages; and static pages for information of permanent relevance.

The OnGea Mobile App

The OnGea Mobile App is a tool for participants of youth activities such as international exchanges. It runs on Android and iOS. Participants can see schedules, maps and travel information for their activity; also, the activity team can send announcements to them.

Testing OnGea

We have installed a full OnGea 1.1 System specifically for you to test: A digital playground of experimentation for everybody who want to first check out the OnGea system before deciding whether or not to install or rent it.

How to get OnGea

You can either install OnGea on your own server/webspace (it’s free, but a bit complicated) – or you can rent a pre-installed OnGea from our hosting partner. The OnGea Mobile App for Android can be downloaded here, the iOS version needs to be downloaded from the Apple App Store.

OnGea 1.0 is finally published!

Finally it’s ready! OnGea, the digital toolkit for (international) youth work activities, has been released today in the first stable version 1.0. OnGea successfully tested for EU Mobility Tool Reporting

Kind of a Christmas present: Today we finally succeeded in reporting an actual project in the EU Mobility Tool with OnGea. This is something like the crowning stone for the OnGea building.
